OnePlus Nord - Overview
Design
OnePlus Nord feels premium to hold and its weight is well-balanced. The device has followed the compact form factor. Moreover, this handset comes in two colour options which are Blue Marble and Gray Onyx. OnePlus is offering a smart soft clear case out-of-the-box which will help in the initial protection of the device. OnePlus Nord retains the slider switch on the right side along with the power button. Overall the design of the phone is excellent.
Display
Nord features a 6.44-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels with the pixel density of 408 PPI, which will produce very sharp text or anything such. OnePlus has put-on a 90Hz refresh rate AMOLED display which is cherry on the cake. You have the option to tune the rate down to 60Hz when you don’t need it or simply left the phgone on auto mode. The Nord offers several modes like Video Enhancer, Reading Mode, and Night Mode to customize display settings as required.
Camera
OnePlus Nord comes with a quad camera setup on the rear and dual cameras at the front. OnePlus Nord features a 48MP Sony IMX586 main sensor with OIS( Optical Image Stabilisation), EIS ( Electronic Image Stabilisation) combined with f/1.75 aperture along with three secondary sensors of 8MP, 2MP, and 5MP. There’s Dual LED flash.
OnePlus Nord comes with dual selfie cameras with 32MP and 8MP sensors. This camera features a 32MP SonyIMX616 sensor with f/2.45 aperture along with an 8MP f/2.45 aperture secondary sensor. The selfie camera offers 4K video recording at 30/60 fps, 1080p video at 30/60 fps, Time-lapse.
In our opinion OnePlus should have gone with a rear 64MP Sony sensor for the main camera as per the latest trends in the market.
Hardware & Software
OnePlus Nord is powered by a 4115 mAh battery with WarpCharge 30T, fast charger. Nord should easily last a single day for average usage. The WarpCharge 30T is a delight as you can get more than a half-life of battery time by charging the battery for 30 minutes.
Verdict
If your budget is average, then OnePlus Nord is a better choice at theINR 25,000 and INR 30,000 price tag. It may be a good idea to go for the low-end variant with 6GB of RAM to get the best bang for the buck. If you are a person for whome the software experience matters a lot then you should be looking for Nord, OnePlus promises 2 Yr Software updates as well as 3Yr security updates.
